Buying gold in Turkey

Turkey has one of the world's most active retail gold markets, with strong investment demand as a hedge against lira inflation. Gold is traded in grams and, for gold, in traditional coin sizes such as the çeyrek (quarter) and tam (full) coin at Istanbul's Grand Bazaar.
